I got goosebumps when I saw it. The wave is fine if your team is losing and you need a rally, AND if 99.9 percent of the crowd is doing it in a sold out stadium.<BR/><BR/>But its retarded at the Metrodome, because 1. The stadium is only 30% full 2. 13 Drunk guys in the upper general admission start yelling and attempt to get everyone to do it. 3. only about 15% of that 30% full metrodome fans participate, and it always extinguishes itself when it reaches those giant banners of Twins Greats.<BR/><BR/>I agree Tony, Hormel Row of Fame jingle is the greatest. Most of the European countries call it the "mexican wave" or "la ola" (spanish for wave).<BR/><BR/>I used to hate it, but watching 50,000 enthusiastic/drunk fans do it, fast and in slow motion it was pretty cool. In my opinion the wave is legit at some sporting events. Not Baseball.<BR/><BR/>The wave is unofficially banned at Wrigley because some padre fans in the bleachers were doing it to distract the cubs hitters during the playoffs. If you are old enough to drive yourself to the game, and you didn't bring a youngster with you, you are too old to do the wave.
